• Yuen was one of eight WHL defenseman invited to the NHL Combine. He played all 72 regular-season games with Tri-City, recording eight goals, 24 assists and recording a team-high plus-41 rating.
• A Vancouver native, his father, Charles, moved to Canada from Hong Kong as a teenager and took up hockey recreationally. His sister, Montana, played hockey with the boys until she reached bantam.
• He played his minor hockey for the North Shore Winterhawks and got his start in hockey at the age of three – he figure skated briefly before getting serious about hockey.
• Yuen is an accomplished pianist -- he started playing the piano at age four. He is classified as a concert pianist and certified to teach theory and piano.
