
The Toronto Maple Leafs will host Northeast Division rival Montreal at Air Canada Centre on Saturday, October 13 to open their 2012-13 regular season. Highlighting the upcoming season's schedule will be the 2013 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic® as the Leafs challenge the Detroit Red Wings on January 1, 2013 at Michigan Stadium (Ann Arbor, MI).
Saturday night games once again dominate the Leafs schedule with Toronto playing 23 times on Saturday (15 at home and eight on the road). The team will also play 18 games on Thursday (10 at home and eight on the road). The Leafs do not have any games scheduled for Sunday in 2012-13.
The busiest months overall, and at home, for the club are in November and March as the team plays 14 games in each month. The Leafs will play eight homes in November and nine in the month of March. The Leafs will close out the regular season schedule with a game at home versus Montreal on April 13.
Radio and television broadcast information, along with single ticket availability for the 2012-13 season, will be available at a later date.
Other Schedule Notes:
• The longest road streak occurs from January 15 to 29 (six games interrupted by the NHL All-Star Break).
• The longest home stand is five games occurring twice (October 30 to November 9 and December 3 to December 13).
• The Maple Leafs will play on consecutive nights on 14 occasions, compared to 17 in 2011-12.
