
Dave Nonis, Sr. Vice-President and General Manager of the Toronto Maple Leafs, announced Friday the hockey club’s roster to open the 2012-13 regular season. The Maple Leafs full roster is listed below.
The Leafs will begin the season with 13 forwards, eight defencemen and two goaltenders. Defenceman Jake Gardiner is not included as he is currently an injured non-roster player.
Forwards Tim Connolly, Matt Frattin, Ryan Hamilton and defenceman Mike Mottau were assigned to the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League. In addition, defenceman Morgan Rielly was returned to the Moose Jaw Warriors of the Western Hockey League.
Toronto’s first game of the 2012-13 season will take place against Northeast Division rival Montreal Canadiens at the Bell Centre tomorrow night (Saturday, January 19) at 7 p.m. The Buffalo Sabres will oppose the Leafs in Toronto’s home opener at 7 p.m. on Monday, January 21.
