TORONTO -- The NHL waiver draft went by with only six players being selected, none of which were Leafs.

Toronto players thought to generating the most interest were Paul Healey, Josh Holden and Aaron Gavey, all of whom played plenty during the first eight games of the preseason. Their next big task will be making it through roster cuts, which should come later today.

As expected defencemen Jyrki Lumme and Anders Eriksson were too rich for other teams to touch.

The Leafs had interest in a couple of players but seemingly passed after more debate by management.

Here is the full list of players selected:

Stephane Robidas (D) by Atlanta from Montreal
Mathieu Biron (D) by Columbus from Tampa Bay
Petr Tenkrat (RW) by Florida from Nashville
Francis Bouillon (D) by Nashville from Montreal
Ronald Petrovicky (RW) by NY Rangers from Calgary
Rick Berry (D) by Washington from Pittsburgh

LEAFS GETTING AWAY

With four days off before their season-opening game against the Pittsburgh Penguins, the Leafs are going on a trip to Wheeling, West Virginia.

Quinn was eyeing the break earlier in camp as a possible team-building getaway before their 76th season in the NHL begins. He plans on cutting the roster down to 22 or 23 players after the waiver draft and then playing what will amount to his team Saturday night against the Tampa Bay Lightning -- Live on Leafs TV, 7 pm -- at Air Canada Centre.

The team will then pack up Monday after practice and head to the home of the East Coast Hockey League's Wheeling Nailers for some fine tuning.

INJURY FRONT

Travis Green left Thursday night's win over the Canadiens after taking a hit in the second period from Canadiens defenceman Mike Komisarek. He is being evaluated to determine the possibility of a concussion.

"What (the training staff) told me is he's a little groggy," Quinn said after the game.
