Game Day Preview
GAME: Toronto Maple Leafs (8-10-2-0) at Ottawa Senators (10-6-2-0).

TIME: Monday, 7 p.m. EST.

Just when they finally seem to be gaining some momentum, the Toronto Maple Leafs run into one of the hottest teams in the league.

In search of their first three-game winning streak of the season, the Maple Leafs visit the Corel Centre, to take on Marian Hossa and the surging Ottawa Senators.

Riding a six-game unbeaten streak, the Senators usually don't have to dig for motivation when facing the rival Maple Leafs.

Toronto has knocked Ottawa out of the playoffs in each of the previous three seasons.

The Leafs are coming off two impressive wins over division leaders, topping Boston 2-0 on Tuesday and routing Philadelphia 6-0 on Saturday.

Ed Belfour made 25 saves for his second straight shutout as the Maple Leafs won for the fourth time in five games.

Jyrki Lumme, Jonas Hoglund, Darcy Tucker, Tie Domi, Mikael Renberg and Alexander Mogilny scored for Toronto while the 37-year-old goaltender has stopped 119 of the last 123 shots he's faced.

Belfour will be hard-pressed to keep his hot streak going against the Senators, who are averaging four goals a game during their unbeaten streak.

Ottawa's top catalyst has been Hossa, who has five goals and two assists in his last four games, including a hat trick in the Senators' 5-2 win over the Columbus Blue Jackets on Saturday Ottawa coach Jacques Martin said he counts on Hossa to play hard every time he hits the ice "Marian doesn't take too many nights off," Martin said. "It's nice to see him get the results."

Hossa has nine goals and six assists on his current nine-game scoring streak.
