Game Day Preview
GAME: Calgary Flames (14-21-6-3) at Toronto Maple Leafs (22-17-4-1).

TIME: Tuesday, 7:30 p.m. EST.

Darryl Sutter is hopeful his honeymoon with the Calgary Flames isn't over.

After guiding the Flames to an immediate five-game unbeaten streak, Sutter has since seen his team revert to its losing ways.

The Flames look to end their longest losing streak under Sutter when they take on the Toronto Maple Leafs at the Air Canada Centre.

Calgary went a season-high 4-0-1 after Sutter took over the coaching reins on Dec. 28, but has since dropped three straight, including Monday's 4-2 loss to the Montreal Canadiens.

"It doesn't matter where you are, if your top line doesn't show up, you're not going to win," Sutter said.

The Flames have been outscored a combined 12-4 during the losing streak.

The one bright spot of late for the Flames has been Martin Gelinas, who netted a power-play goal in Monday's loss and has five goals and eight points over his last seven games.

However, Gelinas knows he can't carry the Flames by himself.

"We've got to find the way to win, one step at a time," Gelinas said. "We were going in the right direction because we had five games where we played really good hockey, but we don't want to take a step back." The Maple Leafs are riding a 12-game unbeaten streak at home (11-0-1), dating to a 2-1 loss to Detroit on Nov. 16.

However, they recently struggled on the road, losing back-to-back games -- 6-2 to Boston on Saturday and 5-1 to the New York Rangers on Monday.

The pair of lopsided losses has left Maple Leafs coach Pat Quinn frustrated with his club, which he feels is making too many mistakes.

"Make the other team beat you, don't beat yourself," Quinn said. "And that's what we did these last two (games) -- beat ourselves. The last two games we had a lot of messing up." LAST MEETING: Dec. 27; Maple Leafs, 4-3. At Calgary, Alberta, Jonas Hoglund scored the tying goal early in the third period and added the winner with 3:26 left as the Maple Leafs rallied for a victory. Sundin scored a first-period goal but left the game with a sore left shoulder after Calgary defenseman Bob Boughner checked him into the glass in the third period. Iginla, Petr Buzek and Jamie Wright scored for the Flames.
