\"Ask the Leafs\" with Darcy Tucker
Welcome to a new feature on mapleleafs.com where you can ask a question of a member of the Maple Leafs each week and see selected answers posted here. You will also be able to see the answers on FanCam, one of the more popular shows on Leafs TV.

This week you can ask Paul Healey anything you like. We will pick the best questions for him and Paul's answers will appear here and also on the FanCam epsiode Saturday, February 1 at 11:30 am. FanCam also has repeat broadcasts throughout the week so check the Leafs TV schedule.

Recently, we had the chance to do a Q+A with Maple Leafs' scrapper Darcy Tucker.

Q: What is your earliest memory of playing hockey?

Darcy: It would have to be the outdoor rink in my father's backyard. We had a pond in the back if our house and my Father would clear it off and take my brother and me skating. That would be my earliest memory of getting to know the game.

Q: What is it like playing with your brother-in-law Shayne Corson?

Darcy: It's great. We've had a lot of fun playing these past couple of years here in Toronto and we had a great time playing together in Montreal as well. We're fairly close and we make sure to have a lot of fun when we're away from the rink as well.

Q: What was it like playing for Kamloops and winning three Memorial Cups?

Darcy: It was a great time in my life. Anytime you win a championship you remember it. I always seem to go back to those days when I'm on the ice. I recall certain situations that I've been in and try to remember how I reacted to the pressure of playing in those same situations back then. It helps me play the game now.

Q: Who did you look up to as a kid and why?

Darcy: I would have to say my father. My father was the person I looked up to the most. He was very inspirational and he always gave me a kick in the butt when I needed it. At the same time he was very loving and understanding.

Q: What advice do you give to kids who play hockey?

Darcy: Just to have fun. I find now when I look at the younger kids coming out there's a lot of pressure put on them to play the game. I think that when you go to the rink, it's to have fun, relax and enjoy it. Do whatever you can to make it fun. If you like shooting for goals, then work on making goals. If you like to skating, go out and skate hard. I don't think there should be any pressure to do things you don't want to do.

Check back in upcoming weeks for the next installment of ASK THE LEAFS.
