Leafs Hit The Links For Charity
(October 6, 2003) -- The 12th Annual Toronto Maple Leafs Charity Golf Classic presented by Molson Canadian and TSN will be held Tuesday, October 7 at Lionhead Golf and Country Club in Brampton.
Maple Leafs players, coaches, management and alumni will participate in the fundraiser to benefit Go Kids Go! The Leafs Fund. Since its inception, the Charity Golf Classic has raised more than $1 million for charities throughout Toronto.
The day's activities will include the Warner Bros. putting contest, the Off-Ice Hockey tour slap-shot competition, the Ford Hole-in-One, Harley Davidson Hole-in-One, and Bell/Wilson Longest Drive Contest.
Pinnacle Catering will also be serving hors d'euvres on the course. Archers from the Canadian Olympic Association will be on hand to compare their shooting accuracy with those of the golfers.
The scramble format tournament begins with a shotgun start at 10 a.m. All participants will enjoy a full day of golf followed by dinner and silent auction of sports memorabilia.
