Leafs Recall Leeb From St. John's
The Toronto Maple Leafs announced Sunday that they have recalled forward Brad Leeb from the St. John's Maple Leafs of the American Hockey League.
Leeb, 24, has played all 38 games for St. John's this season collecting 27 points (15 goals, 12 assists) with 64 penalty minutes. He ranks first on the team in goals, first in shots (152) and second in points. Last season, he led St. John's in goals (35), points (61), powerplay goals (15), game winning goals (8), shots (242), powerplay points (24) and multiple point games (18).
The native of Red Deer, Alberta is pointless in four career NHL games with the Vancouver Canucks. He was acquired by Toronto from Vancouver in exchange for Tomas Mojzis September 4, 2002. He was originally signed by Vancouver as a free agent October 8, 1999. Leeb will wear sweater number 46.
