Nolan Headed To Sidelines
TORONTO (AP) - Toronto Maple Leafs forward Owen Nolan will be sidelined up to three weeks because of a knee injury sustained in a tie against Ottawa.
The Maple Leafs had no immediate comment on the extent of the injury, but coach Pat Quinn said Nolan would be re-evaluated in three weeks.
Nolan was injured when he checked Senators center Bryan Smolinski late in the second period of a 2-2 tie Saturday night.
Nolan, who has 19 goals and 29 assists this season, collapsed to the ice after his leg buckled during the hit.
