EASTERN CONFERENCE SEMIFINAL GAME RECAPS

GAME FIVE - TORONTO 2 at PHILADELPHIA 7
Toronto dropped a 7-2 decision to Philadelphia at the Wachovia Center. Joe Nieuwendyk and Gary Roberts each scored a goal, while Ron Francis, Tomas Kaberle and Alexander Mogilny each registered an assist. Ed Belfour started in goal and made 12 saves before being relieved by Trevor Kidd who stopped 10 of the 11 shots he faced.

GAME FOUR - PHILADELPHIA 1 at TORONTO 3
Mats Sundin
scored two goals including the game winning goal to power the Leafs to a 3-1 victory over the Flyers. Darcy Tucker scored an insurance marker early in the third period to put the game out of reach. Gary Roberts registered two assists, while Brian Leetch, Tomas Kaberle and Bryan McCabe each picked up a helper. Ed Belfour started in goal and stopped 28 of 29 shots to register the victory.

GAME THREE - PHILADELPHIA 1 at TORONTO 4
The Maple Leafs were dominant in the second period for the second straight game and were rewarded with three goals. Alexander Mogilny opened the scoring take a breakaway pass from Mats Sundin, Alexei Ponikarovsky added to the lead deflecting a Bryan McCabe shot and Chad Kilger scored the third Toronto goal of the frame deflecting a Tie Domi shot from the point. Darcy Tucker scored a powerplay goal in the third period to round out the scoring for the Maple Leafs. Bryan McCabe led Toronto offensively with two assists, while Ed Belfour started in goal and stopped 18 of 19 shots to register the victory.

GAME TWO - TORONTO 1 at PHILADELPHIA 2
Philadelphia took a 2-0 series lead with a 2-1 win at the Wachovia Center. Tie Domi scored the lone goal for Toronto assisted by Clarke Wilm and Brian Leetch. Ed Belfour started in goal for the Maple Leafs and made 22 saves.

GAME ONE - TORONTO 1 at PHILADELPHIA 3
Philadelphia drew first blood in the series with a 3-1 victory at home. Alexander Mogilny scored the lone goal for Toronto assisted by Bryan McCabe and Brian Leetch. Ed Belfour started in goal for the Maple Leafs and made 23 saves.
