Tucker Has Successful Surgery
(June 3, 2004) -- John Ferguson, general manager of the Toronto Maple Leafs, announced Thursday that forward Darcy Tucker underwent successful abdominal surgery today.
Tucker, 29, played 64 games for Toronto in 2003-04 collecting 32 points (21 goals, 11 assists) with 68 penalty minutes. He finished fourth on the team in goals and fourth in powerplay goals (8-tie). He also played 12 playoff games for the Maple Leafs scoring two goals with 14 penalty minutes.
The native of Castor, Alberta has played 609 career NHL games collecting 298 points (127 goals, 171 assists) with 1015 penalty minutes. He was originally Montreal's eighth choice, 151st overall in the 1993 Entry Draft.
