Toronto Maple Leafs & Ticketmaster Offer New Ticket Exchange Program

Season seat holders now able to buy, sell or exchange game tickets

(September 13, 2005) -- The Toronto Maple Leafs and Ticketmaster, the world's leading ticketing company, announced Tuesday that the two companies are teaming together to offer a new ticket exchange program to Leafs season seat holders.

Ticketmaster's TeamExchange service facilitates the buying, selling and exchanging of Leafs tickets for Leafs and Marlies season seat holders, Air Canada Centre premium seat holders and Hot Stove Club members.

""We're always looking for new and innovative ways to provide additional value to our season seat holders,"" said Tom Anselmi, executive vice-president and chief operating officer of Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment.

""Ticketmaster's TeamExchange platform is a fantastic service that combines state-of-the-art technology with convenience, letting our fans exchange game tickets in a safe and secure way. We're excited to be the first Toronto-based sports team to offer this service.""

Season seat holders looking to buy or exchange Leafs tickets can search through the available inventory on a secured Ticketmaster web page. Buyers receive their new game tickets as a PDF document by email which can be downloaded and printed using Ticketmaster's ticketFast, a system that allows purchased tickets to be printed at home. A sophisticated barcode system prevents ticket duplication and fraud, giving users an added sense of security.

TeamExchange also facilitates the sale of unused season tickets at face value. Ticket sales are confirmed through email with a request to destroy the existing tickets. Payments from sales are then deposited into the seat holder's account.

""The Leafs are committed to taking customer service to an entirely new level as demonstrated by their desire to provide a ticket platform to their season ticket holders where they can resell any tickets that they are unable to use,"" said  Tom Worrall, chief operating officer of Ticketmaster Canada.  ""TeamExchange enables consumers to buy, sell or exchange tickets in a safe, legitimate manner.  Our ticket system's sophisticated technology will provide a higher level of satisfaction for Leafs fans, giving season ticket holders unparalleled access and control of their tickets, along with the freedom to make the most of their season ticket investment.""

Leafs season seat holders will also benefit from a new Ticket Forwarding service that lets fans forward tickets they are unable to use to family, friends or clients electronically - even at the last minute.

Single tickets for the Leafs preseason games are now on sale through Ticketmaster by phone at (416) 872-5000 or online at www.ticketmaster.com. Single game tickets sales for the Leafs 2005-06 regular season will be announced in mid-September. The Leafs season opener takes place Wednesday, October 5 versus the Ottawa Senators at Air Canada Centre.
