Leafs Obtain Nash, Pick for Tellqvist
Nash, 31, had six goals and six assists with 48 penalty minutes in 19 games with San Antonio this season. He has 27 goals and 37 assists for 64 points in 374 career NHL games with the St. Louis Blues and Phoenix Coyotes. Last season he appeared in 50 games with the Coyotes and recorded six assists and 84 minutes in penalties. During his junior career, he played on two Memorial Cup champion teams with Kamloops of the Western Hockey League in 1994 and 1995.
The native of Edmonton, Alberta was originally Vancouver's 10th round choice, 247th overall, in the 1994 Entry Draft.
In his only appearance with the Leafs in 2006-07, Tellqvist was the goalie of record in the 2-1 loss to the Devils on November 18. In 40 career NHL games, all with Toronto, he has a record of 16 wins, 16 losses, two ties, and two overtime losses. He posted two shutouts and a goals against average of 3.01.
