Mark Bell Undergoes Successful Surgery

John Ferguson, vice president and general manager of the Toronto Maple Leafs, announced Thursday that forward Mark Bell underwent successful surgery yesterday to repair facial fractures. He is expected to be out of the lineup for the next eight weeks.
 
Bell sustained the injury during the third period of the Maple Leafs' game at Pittsburgh on January 3.
