Leafs Announce Broadcast Carriers For \'08-09
The Toronto Maple Leafs have announced their television carriers for the 2008-09 season, and Rogers Sportsnet headlines the coverage with 28 broadcasts during the 82-game season. The balance of the broadcast schedule includes 24 games on CBC, 17 on TSN, and 13 on Leafs TV. Rogers Sportsnet, TSN and Leafs TV will each broadcast at least one of the Leafs nine preseason games. The preseason and regular season broadcast schedule will be announced prior to the start of the preseason.

Rogers Sportsnet, the Official Team Broadcaster of the Leafs, begins its coverage with the September 22 preseason game pitting the Leafs against the Buffalo Sabres at Air Canada Centre. Called the Coca-Cola Zero Fans First Game, all tickets to that game are being given away free to fans through a series of promotions. Get more information.

“We’re excited to have all of our broadcast partners return for the 2008-09 Leafs season,” said Tom Anselmi, executive vice president and chief operating officer for Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment. “With a consistent group of broadcast partners we’re making Leafs games more accessible to all fans. Together, our broadcast partners team with Leafs TV to provide thorough in-depth coverage starting with the first day of training camp.”

Leafs TV brings hockey fans the most comprehensive Leafs coverage 24 hours a day, seven days a week with games, in-depth discussions, expert analysis, interviews and updates. In addition to exclusive inside access to the Leafs, fans receive extensive coverage of the Toronto Marlies, the Leafs’ American Hockey League affiliate. Leafs TV is available on Channel 97 on Rogers Digital Cable.
