The Toronto Maple Leafs announced Wednesday their television broadcast schedule for the 2009-10 season. All 82 games will be broadcast live among four networks: Leafs TV, Rogers Sportsnet, TSN and CBC. In addition, all nine preseason games will be shown live on television, with six of those games on Leafs TV.

Every Leafs’ game will also be carried live on AM 640 Toronto Radio, The Home of the Leafs, from the start of the preseason and continuing through to the conclusion of the season.

"We are thrilled to continue our partnership with our broadcast partners for the upcoming season,” said Tom Anselmi, executive vice-president, chief operating officer, Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment. “Along with our fans and partners, Rogers Sportsnet, TSN, CBC and Leafs TV, we anticipate an exciting hockey season ahead with the new player additions made over the summer by Brian Burke.”

There will be 13 regular season games in 2009-10 carried exclusively on Leafs TV. The Leafs will also appear 28 times on Rogers Sportsnet, 24 times on CBC, and 17 times on TSN.

"Once again, we are pleased to broadcast more Toronto Maple Leafs games than any other Canadian broadcaster," said Doug Beeforth, President, Rogers Sportsnet. "We will continue to provide unprecedented Leafs coverage with our Hockeycentral Leafs Edition pre-game show and post-game analysis on Connected and Hockeycentral Tonight."

“TSN is proud deliver 17 Toronto Maple Leafs regular season games and two Leafs preseason games to the team’s loyal fans from coast to coast as part of our strongest NHL broadcast package yet,” said Phil King, President, TSN.  “Canadian hockey fans exude a tremendous amount of pride and passion when it comes to supporting their favourite NHL teams, and this year TSN and TSN2 are excited to bring more NHL games to fans across the country than ever before.”

The hockey club’s preseason schedule begins against the Boston Bruins at Air Canada Centre September 16 in the Coca-Cola Zero® Fans First Game. TSN2 and AM 640 Toronto Radio will broadcast that game exclusively. Regular season action starts October 1 as the Leafs will host Montreal on CBC’s Hockey Night in Canada.
