Brian Burke, president and general manager of the Toronto Maple Leafs, announced Thursday that the hockey club has recalled forward Jiri Tlusty from the Toronto Marlies of the American Hock
Tlusty, 21, leads the Marlies in goals (6), points (10), powerplay goals (2), and shorthanded goals (1) in eight games this season. The 6-0, 209-pound native of Slany, Czech Republic collected four assists in 14 games with the Leafs during the 2008-09 season, and has 20 career points (10 goals, 10 assists) with 14 penalty minutes in 72 NHL games.
MacDonald, 29, was recalled by the Maple Leafs on October 8 and played in three games, posting a 3.35 goals against average and a .875 save percentage. The 6-0, 197-pound native of Pictou, Nova Scotia recorded 32 saves in a 3-2 overtime win over the Hamilton Bulldogs on October 4 in his only game with the Marlies this season.
Stalberg, 23, appeared in eight games with the Maple Leafs this season, collecting one assist and two penalty minutes. The 6-3, 210-pound native of Gothenburg, Sweden made his NHL debut and recorded his first NHL point (assist) on October 1 versus Montreal.
