Brian Burke, president and general manager of the Toronto Maple Leafs, announced Monday that forward Tyler Bozak has been recalled from the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League.
Bozak, 23, has appeared in 32 games with the Marlies this season, registering four goals and 16 assists for 20 points with six penalty minutes. The native of Regina, Saskatchewan made his NHL debut with the Maple Leafs on October 13, 2009 against the Colorado Avalanche and recorded his first NHL point with an assist.
The Marlies next game is on the road on Friday night at 8:30 p.m. when they take on the Texas Stars, AHL affiliate of the Dallas Stars. The Marlies next home game is Saturday, January 23 when they host the Hamilton Bulldogs, AHL affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens, at 7:00 p.m. at Ricoh Coliseum.
