During their recent slide, the Leafs had talked about needing to score dirty goals and that is exactly what Colton Orr provided on Tuesday.

Just after the midway mark of the third period, Orr did some good work to recover the loose puck and as he went to the net he collided with Panthers goalie Scott Clemmensen. Tim Brent's shot went off Orr's skate and in. There should have been a penalty but after some bad luck last week, the Leafs finally had a break go their way.

4-0 Leafs record when scoring the first goal this season.
:52 Seconds of ice-time for Colby Armstrong who left after on shift with an upper body injury.
4 Game winning goals in his career for Colton Orr.
+6 Rating for Mikhail Grabovski to lead the Leafs.
22 Shots allowed by the Leafs, second fewest by an opponent this season.

Playing with his old linemates, Phil Kessel seemed to have the jump back in his game. He only had two shots on net but he was flying all over the ice looking to make things happen.

Kessel iced the game when he outraced Dennis Wideman to snap home his seventh of the year. Kessel has now scored in two straight games. He played 21:39 which led all forwards in the game and he and his linemates contributed two goals on the night.

Mikhail Grabovski continues to impress in the early going. Despite the fact that he has yet to score, his defensive play has improved a great deal from a year ago and so has his ability to win face-offs.

He played a season-high 20:31 against the Panthers with two hits and one shot block. Although he holds on to the puck too long sometimes, he continues to work on his overall game. He led the Leafs on the night by winning 77 per cent of the draws.

Throughout their four-game winning streak to start the season, the Leafs had timely goaltending, big goals and they were sacrificing their body by hitting and blocking shots. They returned to that formula against the Panthers.

The Leafs had 35 hits and they blocked 27 Panthers shots. Mike Komisarek had seven hits which was a season high for him while his defence partner Brett Lebda led the team with five shot blocks.

Ron Wilson on the game-winning goal by Colton Orr:

"I mean, Colton took the goalie out and there should have been a penalty ... but they didn't see it so you take what you can get. The goalie stepped way out of the net and Colton was just trying to get to the front but he kind of ran over him and I guess the puck must have hit his rear end or something and went in ... his foot ... but it was going in anyway, so whatever."
