Brian Burke, President and General Manager of the Toronto Maple Leafs, announced Monday that forward Mike Zigomanis has been assigned to the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League.

Zigomanis has played in eight games for the Leafs this season, collecting one assist and four penalty minutes.

The Toronto Marlies begin a 10-game road trip on Wednesday when they travel to San Antonio to play the Rampage. The Marlies next home game will take place on Saturday, November 20 at 3 p.m. when they host the Hamilton Bulldogs at Ricoh Coliseum.
