Down 1-0 after the first period, the Maple Leafs saw the Senators ice the game with two second-period goals from Mike Fisher.

The first goal by Fisher exemplified the Leafs' recent woes on the road. Fisher blocked a shot and he was able to outrace Mikhail Grabovski to the Leafs' net where he made a great move on Jonas Gustavsson. The chances of a comeback were put away when Fisher converted on the 2-on-1 in the last minute of the second for the 3-0 Senators' lead.

0 Wins for the Leafs in back-to-back games this season.
8 Straight losses for the Leafs on the road.
1 Shot on three power-play chances for the Leafs.
2 Straight wins for the Senators over the Leafs.
1-5-1 Leafs' record this season on Saturday night.

It wasn't so much one player as mus as it was the line of Milan Michalek, Mike Fisher and Alex Kovalev being too much for the Leafs. The trio factored into all three goals as Fisher and Kovalev recorded three-point games while Michalek had a two-point game.

Fisher and Kovalev in particular were excellent. Kovalev with his fantastic touch and vision found Fisher with two great passes which resulted in tap-in goals. Fisher's three points tied his career high.

Having blocked a shot in the groin during Wednesday's practice, Mike Brown sat out Friday's loss to Buffalo. He was back in the lineup against the Senators and he was back to his agitating self.

Brown had three shots in 10:54 of ice-time, four hits, one block and one takeaway. He was one of the few Leafs to show hustle and he had several chances to get the Leafs on the board. He also was moved up to the third line as Ron Wilson tried to spark his team.

The Maple Leafs have now played 22 games this season and they have been shut out five times! It was well known that the Leafs would have trouble scoring but it is perplexing how much they have struggled.

While the Leafs were able to put up 29 shots Saturday and 36 shots on Friday, they have scored just one goal over the two games. In their last five road games, the Leafs have been shut out three times. Another troubling pattern is they're giving up too many power-play goals.

Jonas Gustavsson on if the Leafs are feeling frustrated:
"I don't know if I'd call it frustrating but it's tough for all of us. We had some scoring opportunities but the puck wasn't bouncing for us. We just have to keep working the same way, try to improve myself and the other guys will do their part.''

Tuesday, November 30 vs. Tampa Bay
7 PM ET (Sportsnet, AM640)

Game Notes:
The Leafs return home to take on the Tampa Bay Lightning for the first of three straight at the ACC.

Steven Stamkos has been having a great start to the season. He leads the NHL in goals (21) and is second in points (38). Tampa is coming off a 4-3 shootout loss to Florida and have gone 1-1-1 in their last three games.
