From the middle of the first period on, the Maple Leafs were the better team against Boston. Despite outplaying the Bruins, they trailed 3-2 with just over six minutes to go in the third when Phil Kessel's second of the game tied it up and looked to force overtime.

With just over a minute to go, Mikhail Grabovski took the puck from the Leafs' zone and on a 1-on-3 rush he turned Dennis Seidenberg inside out and beat Tim Thomas on the shortside for the game winner.

61 Shots on net for Phil Kessel during his goal drought.
38 Power-play goals for the Maple Leafs this season.
2 Points for Dion Phaneuf, a season high.
3 Leafs to have over 20 goals on the season.

He took quite the licking but Grabovski kept on ticking. He was drilled by Zdeno Chara once in the first period and again in the third but he remained in the game and for that he is the player of the game.

Grabovski had his third two-goal game of the season as he now has 24 goals which puts him in the top 20 in the NHL. He showed great determination and used a terrific move on the solo rush to cap the comeback. He was plus two with two goals, three shots in 18:32.

It was never fun for Phil Kessel to face his old team. He had one assist in nine games against the Bruins but this was a different Kessel.

He ended his 14 game-goal drought when he batted the puck home in the first. In the third he used a great dangle on Andrew Ference to level the game at 3-3. It was his first two-goal game since January 6th and he could have had more as he rang the post early in the third period. Kessel had two goals, four shots in 18:37 of ice-time.

James Reimer's solid road record continued with the win over the Bruins. Reimer was excellent again as he made 29 saves in the win including a game saver on David Krejci in the dying seconds.

With the win Reimer has now won six of his nine road starts including two straight. His overall numbers in 13 games (12 starts) is 7-4-1 with a 2.44 GAA and a .928 save percentage. Fantastic numbers for a player that many didn't know what to expect when he was called up.

Ron Wilson on Phil Kessel's huge night in Beantown:

"That was without a doubt Phil's best game not just because he scored. He was in on the forecheck; he was in banging around with (Zdeno) Chara and he did a good job in our end, too. He won some battles on the boards. He changed the colour of the tape on his stick - I don't know if anybody noticed he went from white to black.”

Wednesday, February 16 @ Buffalo Sabres
7 PM ET (TSN, AM640)

Game Notes:
The Leafs close out the back-to-back when they face the Sabres for the second time in 11 days. The Sabres are coming off a 3-2 win over the Canadiens on Tuesday.

Buffalo has had its way with the Leafs at the HSBC Arena as the Leafs haven't won in Buffalo since 2008. The Sabres are 29-9-1 against the Leafs since 2005-06.
