The Maple Leafs entered the second period leading 2-1 and early in the period, Tyler Seguin was in alone on James Reimer. But the Leafs netminder made a great pad save to preserve the lead.

Just five minutes later, Nazem Kadri put a shot on net and Joey Crabb pounced on the rebound for the 3-1 lead. The scoring wasn't done however as just 29 seconds later, Mike Brown blew past Tomas Kaberle and beat Tim Thomas five hole to make it 4-1.

Joey Crabb had his first NHL career three-point game and not only did he contribute at the offensive end, he was also effective on the forecheck and taking the body.

The Alaska native has been a real surprise for the Leafs. He spent the early part of the season with the Marlies but he has been very impressive in his 39 games with the Leafs. He has 13 points playing a key role on the Leafs' third line. He was a plus two in 14:58 of ice-time.

Keith AuIie continues to open eyes with his sound play at both the offensive and defensive ends of the rink. Aulie once again played mistake free hockey with Dion Phaneuf in his 23:29 of action.

The big blueliner from Saskatchewan scored his second career goal on a beautiful wrist shot in the second. He finished his night with two shots, three hits and five blocks. He has logged over 20 minutes in five of the last six games as he develops into a top NHL defenceman.

74. Thanks to the win over th Bruins on Saturday, the Maple Leafs have now equaled their point total from 2009-10 with nine games left. The Leafs are now the youngest team in the NHL at an average age of 26.1 and there are appear to be many bright days ahead.

The Leafs have a chance to crack the 80-point mark which is something that they haven't done since 2008-09. With five more wins they could have their highest point total since '07-08 when they had 91.

Ron Wilson on the key play of lines centred by Darryl Boyce and Tim Brent:

"Our what you'd call the third and fourth lines were really good tonight. The Grabovski and the Bozak lines, they kind of struggled at times. Those (third and fourth line) guys were on their game. The Boyce line was really good. Nazie was making plays. Boycie did a great job in our end in hustling and obviously Joey Crabb had a career night."
