Mika Zibanejad strength on the puck and strong frame has led to comparisons of Peter Forsberg and while no one considers the centreman to be in Forsberg’s class as a goalscorer and playmaker, he retains serious upside.
But when asked what posters he has in his bedroom back home, Zibanejad mentions two Canadian hockey icons.
“I have posters of Sidney Crosby and Mario Lemieux. When I was a kid I was watching the NHL more than the elite league. I had my role models in the NHL so it was a natural step for me to have them.
“The passion is something that catches me. I love players who play with passion. I think that’s my best feature as a player. I always want to be better.”. |
