Report: Schenn, Maple Leafs agree on five-year deal
As training camps draw ever closer, the League's restricted free agents continue to come to terms with their teams.

The latest to sign, according to multiple reports Friday, is Toronto defenseman Luke Schenn. The deal is for five years, according to the reports, and will pay the 6-foot-2, 215-pound defenseman an average of 3.6 million per year.

Schenn, the No. 5 pick in the 2008 Entry Draft, finished his entry-level deal this past season by posting 5 goals and 22 points.

The Maple Leafs open camp Friday with player physicals before taking the ice for the first time on Saturday.

New York Islander forward Josh Bailey, another RFA, also signed Friday morning. Earlier this week, Boston forward Brad Marchand and Winnipeg defenseman Zach Bogosian signed new two-year deals.

Los Angeles defenseman Drew Doughty remains the biggest name still on the restricted free-agent market. According to reports that surfaced Thursday night, Doughty is not close to a new deal with the Kings and remains at hope in Canada as the team reports later Friday for the start of training camp.
