The Maple Leafs returned to practice Tuesday as they prepared for three games in four nights beginning Wednesday in Pittsburgh (7pm, TSN, TSN1050).
Head coach Randy Carlyle made one switch to the forward lines as he moved James van Riemsdyk to a line with Mikhail Grabovski and Nikolai Kulemin while Clarke MacArthur practiced with Nazem Kadri and Leo Komarov.
Defenceman Jake Gardiner took part in full practice and was awaiting clearance from team doctors to get the go ahead to return to the lineup. Once he comes off IR, a player will need to be sent down for the 23 man roster.
