Jerry D\u2019Amigo Recalled From The Marlies
David Nonis, Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Toronto Maple Leafs, announced Thursday the hockey club has recalled forward Jerry D\u2019Amigo from the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League. The Maple Leafs also announced that forward Jerred Smithson has been assigned to the Marlies.

David Nonis, Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Toronto Maple Leafs, announced Thursday the hockey club has recalled forward Jerry D’Amigo from the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League. The Maple Leafs also announced that forward Jerred Smithson has been assigned to the Marlies.

D’Amigo has played 19 games for the Marlies this season and collected five goals and three assists along with eight penalty minutes. In 208 career games with the Marlies (2010-11 to present), the 5-11, 213-pound forward has registered 93 points (42 goals, 51 assists) and 110 minutes in penalties. During the 2012 Calder Cup playoffs the Binghamton, New York native ranked first on the Marlies in plus/minus (+12) and second in goals (8) and points (13-tie) in 17 games played. D’Amigo was originally the Leafs’ sixth choice, selected 158th overall, in the 2009 Entry Draft.

Smithson played 13 games for the Leafs this season and earned nine minutes in penalties. In seven games with the Marlies he has one goal and eight penalty minutes.

The Toronto Marlies next game is tonight when they visit the Lake Erie Monsters in Cleveland. The Marlies will return home on Saturday, December 7 when they host the Hamilton Bulldogs at Ricoh Coliseum.
