Paul Dennis, the player development coach, is entering his 17th season with the Toronto Maple Leafs. Under the direction of the General Manager, Dennis oversees the Leafs annual prospect camp. During the season, he works closely with the coaches to help athletes in their professional and personal development.

Dennis, 56, began his association with the Toronto Maple Leafs in the mid-1980’s as head coach of the Toronto Marlboros of the Ontario Hockey League. He later became the video coach for the Leafs in 1989 and served as the video coach to the 1991 Canada Cup team.

The Toronto native has a PhD in sport psychology and is a member of the American Psychological Association. He was the sports psychologist to Canada’s World Junior hockey team in 2002 and 2003. He is an adjunct professor at Toronto’s York University where he teaches a fourth year sport psychology course.

Paul and his wife Lynn have two sons, Christopher, who is the Leafs video analyst, and Stephen, a recent graduate in business who attended Miami University in Ohio on a hockey scholarship.
