BECAME A LEAF: Acquired from New Jersey for a fourth round choice (Ben Thomson) in 2012 Entry Draft, October 4, 2011.

TRANSACTIONS: Originally Los Angeles' second choice, 30th overall, in 2001 Entry Draft. Signed as a free agent by Washington, August 25, 2005. Traded to New Jersey by Washington with Washington's second round choice (later obtained by Minnesota – Raphael Bussieres) in 2012 Entry Draft for Jason Arnott, February 28, 2011.

2011-12 SEASON: Played 76 games for the Maple Leafs collecting 13 points (8 goals, 5 assists) with 10 penalty minutes. Tied career-highs for goals, powerplay goals (1) and shorthanded goals (2). Ranked 6th in NHL faceoff percentage (58.0%). Finished in top 7 in NHL faceoffs in each of 1st 5 NHL seasons. Ranked 1st on the Maple Leafs in shorthanded goals (tie) and faceoff percentage. Ranked 3rd on the Maple Leafs in hits (170). Made Maple Leafs debut and won 18-of-25 faceoffs (72%) Oct. 6 vs. Montreal. Scored 1st Maple Leafs goal Oct. 20 at Boston. Scored a goal in 3-consecutive games (Oct. 20 – 24). Missed game Nov. 27 at Anaheim due to finger injury. Scored a shorthanded empty-net goal Dec. 5 at NY Rangers. 2008-09: Played 76 games for Washington. Established career highs for goals (8-tie), assists (11-tie), points (19), shorthanded goals (2-tie), penalty minutes (34-tie) and shots on goal (103). Ranked 5th in NHL faceoff percentage (57.9%). Played 100th career NHL game Nov. 29 at Columbus. Played 14 playoff games for Washington collecting 5 points (3 goals, 2 assists) with 4 penalty minutes. Scored 3 goals in ECSF series including overtime goal in GM #6 May 11 at Pittsburgh.

2007-08: Played 1st full season in NHL. Played 67 games for Washington collecting 12 points (5 goals, 7 assists) with 34 penalty minutes. Ranked 7th in NHL faceoff percentage (56.3%). Scored 1st NHL goal and point Oct. 24 vs. Tampa Bay (Marc Denis). Collected a career-high 3 points (1 goal, 2 assists) Dec. 26 vs. Tampa Bay. Made NHL playoff debut and scored 1st playoff goal in GM #1 of ECQF Apr. 11 vs. Philadelphia (Martin Biron).

2006-07: Played 5 games for Washington collecting 2 penalty minutes. Played 71 games for Hershey (AHL) collecting 61 points (30 goals, 31 assists) with 46 penalty minutes. Ranked 2nd on Hershey in goals. Ranked 3rd on Hershey in assists and points. Played 19 playoff games for Hershey collecting 15 points (6 goals, 9 assists) with 16 penalty minutes. Ranked 1st on Hershey in playoff plus/minus (+10). Ranked 1st in AHL playoff shorthanded goals (3).

2005-06: Played 7 games for Washington. Played 74 games for Hershey collecting 34 points (14 goals, 20 assists) with 58 penalty minutes. Played 1st NHL game Dec. 31 vs. Philadelphia. Played 21 playoff games for Hershey collecting 15 points (10 goals, 5 assists) with 20 penalty minutes. Won Calder Cup with Hershey.

2004-05: In 1st professional season played 63 games for Manchester (AHL) collecting 17 points (10 goals, 7 assists) with 26 penalty minutes. Played 9 games for Reading (ECHL) collecting 9 points (3 goals, 6 assists) with 2 penalty minutes.

2000-04: Spent 4 seasons at Ohio State University (CCHA) and played 146 games collecting 105 points (50 goals, 55 assists) with 249 penalty minutes. Named to CCHA All-Rookie Team in 2000-01. Won CCHA Championship with Ohio State in 2004. Played 7 games for USA at 2002 IIHF World Junior Championship collecting 1 assist with 4 penalty minutes. Played 7 games for USA at 2001 IIHF World Junior Championship collecting 1 assist with 6 penalty minutes.

1998-2000: Played 2 seasons with USA Hockey's National Team Development Program.
