BECAME A LEAF: Acquired from Nashville with Matthew Lombardi for Brett Lebda and Robert Slaney, July 3, 2011.

TRANSACTIONS: Originally Nashville's third choice, 79th overall, in 2005 Entry Draft. 2011-12 SEASON: Played 57 games for the Maple Leafs collecting 21 points (5 goals, 16 assists) with 22 penalty minutes. Made Maple Leafs debut and collected an assist Oct. 15 vs. Calgary. Scored 1st Maple Leafs goal and added an assist Nov. 19 vs. Washington. Registered a season-high 4-game point streak (Dec. 5 – 13) with 4 points (2 goals, 2 assists). Collected 2 assists Dec. 27 at Florida. Collected 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) Feb. 4 at Ottawa. Collected 2 assists Feb. 15 at Edmonton. Left game due to eye injury Mar. 7 at Pittsburgh. Scored a goal Mar. 24 vs. NY Rangers. Healthy scratch 25 times this season, most recently Mar. 31 vs. Buffalo.

CAREER: 2010-11: Played 80 games for Nashville collecting 29 points (8 goals, 21 assists) with 30 penalty minutes. Ranked 28th (tie) among NHL defencemen in goals and 24th in shots on goal. Ranked 3rd among Nashville defencemen in points and 2nd in both plus/minus (+10) and goals. Played 100th career NHL game Jan. 8 at San Jose. Scored 1 goal on 3 shootout attempts. Played 12 playoff games for Nashville collecting 6 points (1 goal, 5 assists). Ranked 4th on team, and 14th among NHL defencemen in playoff points. 2009-10: Played 61 games for Nashville collecting 21 points (6 goals, 15 assists) with 16 penalty minutes. Became 2nd rookie defenceman in Nashville franchise history to reach 20-point mark, joining Dan Hamhuis (6 goals, 15 assists). Ranked 3rd among NHL rookie defencemen in goals and for 4th (tie) in points. Ranked 1st among NHL rookie defencemen in game-winning goals (3). Ranked 1st among NHL rookies and 2nd on the team in plus/minus (+15). Collected 1st career NHL point (assist) Oct. 21 at Boston. Scored 1st career NHL goal Oct. 22 at Ottawa (Pascal Leclaire). Missed 7 games due to injury. Began season playing for Milwaukee (AHL). Played 6 games for Milwaukee collecting 7 points (2 goals, 5 assists) with 4 penalty minutes during three stints with Milwaukee. Played for Canadian AHL All-Stars at 2009 AHL All-Star Game and collected an assist Jan. 26. Played 11 playoff games for Milwaukee collecting 8 points (3 goals, 5 assists) with 8 penalty minutes. Ranked 2nd on team in playoff plus/minus (+9) and 2nd (tie) in points.

2007-08: Played 76 games for Milwaukee collecting 36 points (11 goals, 25 assists) with 40 penalty minutes. Named to the AHL All-Rookie Team. Ranked 1st among AHL rookie defencemen in goals and powerplay goals (8), and ranked 2nd in assists and points. Played 6 playoff games for Milwaukee collecting 2 assists and 2 penalty minutes.

2006-07: Played 59 games for Vancouver (WHL) collecting 51 points (17 goals, 34 assists) with 88 penalty minutes. Ranked 6th (tie) among WHL defencemen in points. Played 19 playoff games for Vancouver (WHL) collecting 7 points (3 goals, 4 assists) with 10 penalty minutes. Played 5 games for Vancouver (WHL) at Memorial Cup collecting 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist). Named to WHL West First All-Star Team. Won Memorial Cup with Vancouver (WHL) and named to tournament's all-star team. Played 6 games for Canada at IIHF World Junior Championship collecting 2 assists with 4 penalty minutes. Won gold medal with Canada.

2005-06: Played 71 games for Vancouver (WHL) collecting 55 points (15 goals, 40 assists) with 61 penalty minutes. Ranked 3rd (tie) among WHL defencemen in points. Played 18 playoff games for Vancouver (WHL) collecting 20 points (5 goals, 15 assists) with 12 penalty minutes. Ranked 1st among WHL defencemen in playoff points. Won WHL Championship with Vancouver (WHL). Named to WHL West Second All-Star Team. Played 5 games for Vancouver (WHL) at Memorial Cup collecting 5 points (3 goals, 2 assists).Ranked 1st among defencemen in Memorial Cup points.

2004-05: Played 64 games for Vancouver (WHL) collecting 13 points (2 goals, 11 assists) with 44 penalty minutes. Played 4 playoff games collecting 1 assist. Named team's Most Improved Player.
