Registered a 32-save shutout Oct. 6 vs. Montreal. Began the season with a (101:41) shutout streak (Oct. 6 - 8), the 3rd longest streak to start a season in Maple Leafs franchise history. Missed 18 games due to injury (Oct. 24 – Nov. 30). Stopped 40-of-42 shots Dec. 22 vs. Buffalo. Registered a 25- save shutout Feb. 1 vs. Pittsburgh. Made a careerhigh 49 saves and registered a shutout Feb. 4 at Ottawa. (Most saves by a Leaf goalie in a shutout since Mike Palmateer on Mar. 12, 1977 – 47 saves vs. Detroit). Named NHL's Third Star of the Week (Feb. 6), registering back-to-back shutouts (Feb. 1 & 4) with 74 saves in that span. Recorded wins in back-to-back starts (Mar. 15 & 17) stopping 63-of- 65 shots. 2008-09: Played 3 games for the Marlies compiling a record of 1-2-0, with a 3.28 goals against average and a .882 save percentage. Made AHL debut and recorded 1st win Dec. 27 vs. Manitoba. Recalled from the Marlies Dec. 21. Played 22 games for the Reading (ECHL), registering a 10-7-3 record with a 3.30 goals against average and .904 save percentage. Played 6 games for the South Carolina (ECHL) and went undefeated with a 6-0-0 record, a 1.32 goals against average, a .961 save percentage and 2 shutouts. Played 8 playoff games for the South Carolina recording 4 wins, a 2.17 goals against average, a .929 save percentage and 1 shutout. Won the Kelly Cup and was named ECHL playoffs MVP.

2005-06 to 2007-08: Played 124 games for the Red Deer Rebels (WHL) compiling a record of 41-56-14 with a 2.72 goals against average and .912 save percentage. In 2007-08, Ranked 5th (tie) in WHL save percentage (.916).
