Canucks 6, Maple Leafs 1

TORONTO (AP) -The Vancouver Canucks enjoyed embarrassing the Toronto Maple Leafs at home in front of a national audience.

Daniel Sedin, Mattias Ohlund, Trevor Linden, Taylor Pyatt and Sami Salo scored power-play goals to lead the Canucks to a 6-1 victory Saturday night.

It was the second game of CBC's "Hockey Day in Canada."

"There was a lot of media attention coming into this game, `Hockey Night in Canada,' the whole deal," goalie Roberto Luongo said. "We don't get to come here very often. A lot of guys enjoyed it."

Luongo made 35 saves for the Canucks, who have eight of nine.

Vancouver, outshot 36-21, was 5-for-10 on the power play.

The Sedin twins combined for seven points, including a goal and three assists from Daniel.

Neither made the West's All-Star team.

"It would have been fun to go there, but it's not that big a deal," Daniel said. "We'll get five days rest. That's more important. We didn't expect to go so we're not disappointed."

Bates Battaglia scored the lone goal for the Maple Leafs, who are missing eight players because of injuries, including Darcy Tucker.

"It's frustrating to lose on home ice like that. It's embarrassing," said Toronto captain Mats Sundin, whose team went 0-for-8 on the power play.

"Their power play was good. They scored on almost every chance they had. We were very ineffective. We had almost as many chances as they did, but we didn't score. That was difference. Not goaltending."

Toronto goalie Andrew Raycroft struggled again, allowing goals glove side on the second and fourth shots he faced. Raycroft slumped to the ice after allowing Salo's hot to tick off his glove for Vancouver's fifth goal at 13:00 of the third.

Fans jeered Raycroft after he allowed Markus Nasland to score the sixth goal.

Toronto coach Paul Maurice said he's not concerned about how Raycroft is being treated by the fans.

"I'm not worried about that because in Buffalo they would have given him a standing ovation," Maurice said of Toronto's 4-2 victory in Buffalo on Thursday night. "All it takes is one game."

Maurice said Vancouver was better on the power play, on penalty kill and in net.

Toronto outshot Vancouver 14-3 in the first, but Ohlund scored at 8:46 of the first. His one-timer beat Raycroft glove side.

Battaglia's batted in a rebound before knocking Luongo over, tying it at 1 at 13:31 of the first.

But just 39 seconds in the second Sedin beat Raycroft with another shot glove side, Vancouver's first shot of the period. Sedin has 17 goals this season and 100 in his career. His twin brother, Henrik, earned his 39th assist on the goal.

Vancouver scored four goals in the third.

Linden scored on a two-man advantage from the side of the net, giving Vancouver a 3-1 lead at 4:39 of the third.

Just 13 seconds later, Pyatt scored on a breakaway following a Toronto turnover.

Luongo made several impressive saves, including a big stop on Sundin midway through the third.

Vancouver has won four straight away from home after a six-game road losing streak.

Notes: The Maple Leafs honored Canada's Armed Forces before the game. About 100 soldiers attended the game, including four who repelled from the rafters. Canada has 2,300 soldiers in southern Afghanistan. ... Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban attended the game. The Mavericks play the Raptors on Sunday.
